Remove unnecessary pages from a PDF safely
Delete PDF Pages creates a new document containing every page except the numbers you select. It is useful for blank scan pages, duplicate attachments and sections that do not belong in the shared copy.
The tool refuses to delete every page and checks that each number exists. This prevents an empty or partially processed download.
How to use Delete PDF Pages
Open the PDF
Choose the document that contains pages you no longer need.
Enter pages to remove
Use individual numbers or ranges such as 2, 5-7, 12.
Create the clean copy
The browser copies every remaining page into a new PDF.
Check the result
Confirm the page count and verify content before replacing or sharing any file.
Delete pages without changing the remaining artwork
The remaining pages are copied rather than redrawn, so text, vectors and images retain their source quality. Original page sizes and portrait or landscape orientation also remain intact.
Deleting a page is not secure redaction. If confidential text appears on a page you keep, use a dedicated redaction workflow that removes the underlying content.
Example: remove blank scanner pages before submission
Review the PDF once, note each completely blank or duplicate page and enter those physical page numbers together. The clean copy retains every unselected page in its original order.
For a confidential section, confirm whether deleting whole pages is sufficient. Information on retained pages requires proper redaction rather than a visual cover or crop.
When Delete PDF Pages is the right choice
- Remove blank scanner pages
- Delete duplicate pages
- Prepare a shorter submission copy
Edge cases to check before downloading
- Printed page numbers can differ from physical PDF positions.
- Bookmarks can point to shifted or removed pages.
- Deleting pages from a signed file can invalidate its signature.
How to delete one page from a PDF
Open the file, select the page you want to remove and download a new copy. Check the page count and scan the pages on either side of the deletion before sharing. Removing a page from an exported PDF can affect cross-page references or bookmarks, and removing a page does not redact sensitive information left on other pages.
To keep just one page instead, use Split PDF. The page extraction guide gives exact range examples.
Privacy, quality and compatibility
Document-level bookmarks, form behavior and signatures can change when pages are removed. Keep the source and review interactive documents carefully.
Your selected files are processed in browser memory. Keep the source document, inspect the download and use the original authoring application when exact legal, print or archival fidelity is required.
