Create one PDF from different image formats

The Image to PDF converter handles photographs, screenshots, diagrams and scanned pages even when the files use different image formats. It converts each selected image into its own page and combines them in the order shown.

PNG images keep their clean edges and transparency is placed safely on the PDF page. WebP images are decoded by the browser and converted to a compatible high-quality image before being added to the PDF.

How to use Image to PDF

Select the images

Add JPG, PNG or WebP files from your device. Mixed formats can be used in the same document.

Check the order

Move files up or down so page one, page two and every following page are correct.

Set the PDF pages

Choose A4, US Letter or pages fitted to each image, then select margins and orientation.

Download one PDF

Create the document and save the finished PDF directly to your device.

A practical image-to-document workflow

This tool is useful when a scanner or phone camera produces individual image files but an application, customer or colleague expects a PDF. The result can contain a single image or a complete sequence of pages.

For printing, A4 or US Letter creates consistent paper dimensions. Fit each image is better when the original canvas size matters more than a uniform print layout.

Example: combine screenshots, diagrams and photos

A project handoff may contain PNG screenshots, a WebP diagram and JPG photographs. Add the files together, arrange the narrative order and use one page size when the result should feel like a single report.

Transparent PNGs and unusually wide diagrams need extra review. A wide image may be clearer on a landscape page, while a small screenshot can look better with wider margins.

When Image to PDF is the right choice

  • Combine screenshots into one document
  • Create a PDF from mixed PNG, JPG and WebP files
  • Prepare image pages for printing or sharing

Edge cases to check before downloading

  • Animated WebP files are converted as a still image.
  • Transparency is composited against the PDF page.
  • Color appearance can vary between browser and printer profiles.

How to convert PNG to PDF online

Choose one or more PNG screenshots, diagrams or graphics, place them in the desired page order, and select a page size before creating the PDF. A PNG with transparent areas may display differently on a white PDF page, so inspect its background after downloading. PNG is often preferable to JPG for sharp screenshots and fine lines, while a large photographic PNG can make the PDF much bigger.

For mixed photo and screenshot collections, the image to PDF converter accepts supported image formats in one workflow. Read the PNG versus JPG guide to choose the right source format. Images of words remain images until OCR recognizes the text.

Privacy, quality and compatibility

Image conversion does not recognize or rewrite text inside the picture. Use an OCR application first if searchable or selectable text is required.

Your selected files are processed in browser memory. Keep the source document, inspect the download and use the original authoring application when exact legal, print or archival fidelity is required.

For independent format details, see PNG Specification, Third Edition.

Image to PDF FAQ

7 practical answers about files, privacy and output quality.

Which image formats are supported?+

The converter accepts JPG, JPEG, PNG and WebP images.

Can I mix PNG and JPG files?+

Yes. Add supported image formats together and arrange them in any order.

Can I create a borderless PDF?+

Yes. Choose No margin. The image is scaled to fit the page while keeping its original proportions.

Will transparent PNG areas stay transparent?+

Transparent areas are handled safely when the PNG is embedded. The PDF viewer may display the page background as white.

Does WebP work on every browser?+

Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari can decode WebP. An older browser may need the image saved as PNG or JPG first.

Can I preserve transparent PNG backgrounds?+

Transparent pixels are placed safely on the PDF page, although most PDF viewers display the page itself as white.

Can I combine screenshots and photographs?+

Yes. JPG, PNG and WebP files can be mixed in one ordered PDF.

Prepare your image before creating a PDF

JPG and JPEG use the same format, so JPEG photos work in the JPG workflow. Use JPEG to JPG if a destination requires the shorter extension, JPEG to PNG for a PNG image, or pixels to inches to plan print dimensions.
